# Triggering a Payout for The Drop

The Drop has a predefined prize target and draws are triggered when The Drop contract balance reaches that designated prize amount (For example, a $1,000,000 instance of The Drop triggers a drawing and payout for the full contract amount when The Drop's contract reaches a balance of 1 million USDC).
